• Born into a musical family in Assam, Debu Bhattacharjee's interest in vocal music blossomed from a young age
• Received sound training under the vigilant guidance of his father Late Shree Satish Chandra Bhattacharjee, elder sister Smt. Sikha Bhattacharjee, and Late Shree Sachin Chakraborty
• Pursued formal training in music at the age of 5, setting the foundation for his musical journey
• Placed himself under the tutelage of Sree Sandeep Ghosh (Scholar, Sangeet Research Academy, ITCSRA, Kolkata) and Late Ustad Sarfaraz Hussain Khan of Rampur Sahaswan Gharana for nuanced classical music training
• Learnt various song forms, including Nazrul Geeti, Ragpradhan, Bhajan, and Modern Hindi & Bengali songs from illustrious teachers, maintaining close ties with performers for continuous learning
• Proficient in teaching Hindustani classical vocal, Hindustani semi-classical vocal and Indian light music
